| Donald Force established Force Construction Company in 1946.That same year, he purchased a 1946 Chevrolet truck, which
remains with the Company today. Meeting Mr. Tom Goby in 1948 lead to an
agreement to represent Armco Steel Buildings. Don Force asked Vera Middendorf
to marry him in the cab of the 1946 truck. |

| They were married on April 18th, 1948.
Vera Force went to work for the Company full-time in September, forming a
successful business and personal relationship with Don Force that lasted until
his death in 1980. Vera Force remains Chairman Emeritus of Force Construction
Company, Inc. |
| Robert Beier joined the Company in 1951, and became instrumental in field operations for many years. Harold Force, current President of Force Construction Company, Inc. was born that same year. |

| David Force, currently Executive Vice President, was born in 1956 |
| In 1963, Paul Gerbig joined the Company and was responsible for establishing building design operations. The Force logo was also introduced. |
| Harold Force joined the Company full-time in May of 1974. |

| As Force celebrated its 30th anniversary in 1976, it was reorganized as Force Construction Company, Inc., a general corporation under the laws of the State of Indiana. |
| In August of 1980, Donald Force succumbed to a four-year battle with leukemia. |
| In 1981, David Force joined the Company full time as President of Force Design, Inc., and Executive Vice President of Force Construction Company, Inc. |
| In 1990, the Company moved into new facilities at 990 N. National Road in Columbus, Indiana. On the occasion of Vera Force's 65th birthday, the original 1946 truck was completely restored and presented to her as a surprise. |
