LOCATION: 990 N National Rd, Columbus, IN 47201

REPORTS TO: President of Force Design, Inc.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.

SUMMARY:The Structural Engineer is responsible for the interpretation of design criteria, related structural analysis, and creation of permit and construction drawings and specifications. The position requires coordination with construction management and field personnel, suppliers, vendors, and other design team members. The Structural Engineer must be able to work on several projects at the same time and ensure timely completion of each project deliverable. The work environment is fast paced, requiring responsiveness, resourcefulness, and the ability to rapidly change direction.

BACKGROUND:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in an office setting
  • Licensed professional engineer or pursuing licensure
  • Experience with PEMB, reinforced concrete, steel, and wood design, analysis of foundations, concrete structures, and steel structures.

  • Applicable structural analysis software(s)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze, design, and create construction documents for various structures and structural elements.
  • Coordinate drawings with other disciplines.
  • Develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures regarding work documents, logging files, and tracking files.
  • Develop, categorize, and implement office standards for structural documentation in Revit platform
