Historic building remodel in downtown Columbus, Indiana

An interior photo of the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce in Columbus, IN
The Columbus Indiana Chamber of Commerce office, nestled within a historic building in the heart of downtown Columbus, Indiana, underwent a transformative redesign by Force Design, Inc. This renovation was meticulously planned to infuse the space with versatility and openness, catering to the dynamic needs of its users. By incorporating demountable wall systems predominantly composed of glass, the design not only maximizes the infusion of natural light but also leverages the picturesque outside views, seamlessly connecting the interior with the vibrant life of the city. The reimagined layout was strategically re-oriented to foster a welcoming atmosphere, making it an inviting hub for Chamber members and the broader Columbus business community. The redesign emphasizes flexibility, allowing the space to adapt to various events and functions, from formal meetings to casual networking gatherings, ensuring that every corner of the office is optimally utilized and resonates with the spirit of collaboration and innovation that the Chamber embodies.

A striking feature of the redesign is the integration of a bold red color, a signature element of the Columbus Chamber's identity and marketing strategy. This vibrant hue weaves through the interior, creating a thread of visual continuity that reinforces the Chamber's brand and energizes the space. The thoughtful use of color not only accentuates architectural details but also serves as a dynamic backdrop that stimulates creativity and engagement among its occupants. The incorporation of the Chamber's branding into the physical environment exemplifies Force Design, Inc.'s commitment to creating spaces that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also deeply connected to the identity and mission of their clients. This project stands as a testament to the power of design in transforming traditional office environments into modern, light-filled spaces that encourage interaction, foster community, and celebrate the unique character of the organizations they serve.
